Definition: school (General Definition)
A "school" is: (a) an institution providing full-time day instruction and a course of study that meets the requirements of Sections 3204, 3205 and 3210 of the New York State Education Law; or (b) a nursery school or kindergarten: (1) whose annual session does not exceed the school sessions for full-time day schools prescribed in Section 3204 of the New York State Education Law; and (2) which is operated by the Department of Education or any established religious organization as part of an elementary school; or (c) a child care service operating under a permit issued pursuant to Section 47.03 of the New York City Health Code.
