Definition: court (General Definition)
A “court” is a type of open area on a zoning lot that: (a) is not a required yard or rear yard equivalent ; (b) is wrapped on two or more sides by building walls; and (c) is unobstructed from its lowest level to the sky, except for permitted obstructions listed in Section 23-351 (Permitted obstructions in courts). A court may be provided as either an inner court or an outer court . All height measurements within a court shall be from the lowest level of such court .
