At World Journalism Preparatory School (WJPS), journalism is a tool used to share learning and practice the habits of critical thinking in regard to citizenship and democracy. Student publications include an award winning school newspaper, news broadcast program, and yearbook. Opportunities to be immersed in journalism exist through fieldwork, creative projects, performances and interviews. Students visit television networks, newspapers, publishers and colleges. WJPS also offers many opportunities for students to earn college credit before graduating from high school.
